Anyone else psyched for next season already?
« on: April 11, 2008, 07:35:47 am »
Is is just me or are all of you getting ready for next season? I am still in denial that this one's over and hang on to the delusion that I will still go out to A-basin or Utah. I need one more day on my Shamans,,,,,

I for one am still suffering "POST SKI-UM BLUES".? ;D? ;D

I had a most wonderful skiing season (although not nearly the number of days of Ron and Gary) and am really missing the skiing experience, the memory still brings tears to my eyes.
(Trying to be as sentimental as Gary here, but not really capturing it).? ????? ????

My Azaleas are about to bloom, I have to mow grass this weekend for the second time, and the GroundHog has burrowed under the porch again.? Hard to get psyched about skiing yet.

However, I am thinking about getting a pair of SuperShape Magnums for next year ($519 is almost irresistable).

I put down fertilizer last weekend...then skied Sunday. Going up again this Sunday too. I know Mt Snow is going to operate daily until April 25th. I have a feeling they'll go to a weekend schedule after that. My goal is to ski at least one day in May...just to say I did.? ;D

I have my usual motivation going.? I keep one pair of the new year-end bargain skis just purchased standing in the corner of my office so I can keep my mind on the start of the next season.? Looking at those new RX-9's right now...

I am staring at my 84's right now. Just waiting to send them to a new home! I wish I had brought my Shamans home. I think I may ship back home when I go out to SB in June. They are so cool! Best top sheets ever.

Glenn:? With this crowd you may have to be more specific.?

Well, as someone who has blisters on their hands from wielding the hoe, rake, shovel etc, this weekend, this had me on my a** laughing it off!
Manure season is on its way!

A little lesson Jim: human manure should not be used until thoroughly composted. Those early americans were FULL of parasitic worms because they used "nightsoil" AKA, human sh*t for fertilizer. Full of those nasty eggs of parasites. Deworming concoctions were often the realm of midwives! Probably helped to cut down the number of intestinal parasites, but not a cure. Anemia was a big problem for those folks and then when they got sick the local doctor would then "bleed them" to cure various ailments.

So, I am SURE, that Glenn, being a clearly intellectually superior fellow, I mean, look where he goes to for ski adive and boot advice (unsolicited though it may be)?
I am SURE Glenn does not befoul the areas he plans to mow and garden.

To be blunt, I crap on the crapper....indoors It's much easier to read and my magazine doesn't get blown away if the wind kicks up.  ;D

I put down step one of 4 for the ol fertilizer program.

And yes, I'm already looking forward to next season. The new skis work awesome, so I'm looking forward to testing them out in more winter like conditions. Plus, my wife is always on the hunt for ski gear. So I'm sure we'll have ton more of that by the time the snow starts flying again. Oh, and I'll probably have some new boots too!  :D
