This requires a bit of a preface....

My boss and I were at a conference at Foxwoods (about 1 hour away) From Wed to Friday...we brought our wives with us. Saturday afternoon, my wife and I went to a 7PM Redsox game (about 2 hours away) with our work 401k plan rep. The game got out around 10? All I know is I had my wife drive home.? ;D? At this point, I didn't think we'd be going Sunday. She works some extra hours on the weekend...and on the way home, found out she only had one patient Sunday AM. "Let's go skiing after I get out of work!" Who am I to argue.

We left CT around 9AM, got to Mt Snow around 11. Weather was calling for partly cloudy, it was sunny.? ;D? I wore shorts under my ski pants and a t-shirt under a wind breaker. There were people who were skiing/boarding in shorts and t-shirts up there. Conditions were typical warm spring skiing...mashed potato snow! The new skis did awesome in the snow. Again, very impressed. My wife really found her edges and started to carve a lot of her turns. I was very impressed with how much she improved this year and carving was just icing on the cake. It was really really cool to see her get a little better every time we went out. What a difference from when we fist went out and she was still renting back in January. And most importantly, she has a blast whenever we go out skiing.

The weather was great, so we took a ton of pics...close to 60 in all. I won't post them all, it would melt your computer.? ;D Mt Snow had built a smaller terrain park when they closed the Carinthia section for the season. My wife was cool enough to take some pics of me jumping.

All in all, a great day! Lunch on the chair, water breaks on the side of the trails, plenty of sun. We could not have asked for anything more. An amazing end to an awesome season....

If you look closely, you can see the sculpture of the mountain lion on top of the rocks. This is on one of the backroads we take out of VT.

Here's the temp heading home...somewhere near the VT/Mass border. We had the A/C on for a bit too:

Great pics. Inspiring too!! Especially the mid-air ones.  8)Looked like you were doing a very high PMTS style Javelin drill at one point!! :)
You obviously handle yourself well on skis.
Now, about those boots......... >:D

I think the purple boots are almost like Red Bull....."They give me wings!" Although, that could just be a load of "Bull"..... ;)

I'm with ya brother....keep living some turns in my mind.  ::)

Still, ......planning on a "special birthday" in August 2009.....Argentina. ....skiing summer time....gotta be a trip for sure!

Now....we've just got to let it go our Blue Angles of the ski slopes...yep...wax and sharpen those warbirds and mothball them till winter. Well.....all except for the boots,   >:D those trusty and well worn friends should be made into some kind of yard or office art.

No go find some pictures of winter and smile!? ;D

Gary:

Give some thought to New Zealand instead of Argentina??  There is an article on New Zealand in the April SKI magazine and I know several people that say it is a lovely place to visit.

I actually did Jim....I think flight times and accessability favor Argentina PLUS right now, it's 1 American dollar to 3 Argentinian....last time we looked.

SO.....going to join us? Hoping to get a group to go....would be great fun!

Hey Glen,...Harold Harb has his own well tested carvers and a course you can take if so desired. Great way to ski all year round.
Get knee pads, good padded gloves and elbow pads......for sure!

The vids on that site looked cool. Too bad we don't have any of those dessert rock formations here in CT.  :D
