credit accepted! I would consider insisting on daily ski tunes as well. How about him getting you lunch each day too?  Hmm, what else can we add... >:D ;D >:D

I would suggest helping to put on boots but considering the circumstances, we'll leave that job to Ed.  :)

Ron:

Was that kevlar or teflon that they used in your groin??? ??? ???

Sort of interesting how, as the peacemaker, you wound up on top and with Gary servicing your skis; when Lynn was the wronged party.? How does that work, exactly??? ? ;D

No wronged parties.

truth be told, i hate taking that stuff. so far i have only taken 3.? i am feeling a little better each day. i dont have a huge appetite and i actually lost 4 pounds. (170 now) not what i really want. I havent been able to get on the bike as I have one area in the upper abs that is very painful. Like, don't breath deep painful. It's much better now but seems to go in and out. I think I strained it while sleeping. I walked Finn this AM about a 3rd of mile and felt pretty good. I see the doc on Monday. I cant wait to get back on the bike and back to lifting and strenghtening the legs. So glad I pushed it before surgery.

Lynn, how are you feeling my dear? Any swelling or bruising? Hows the use and dexterity?  I am routing for you.

Hey Ron
I have graduated from sling to ace bandage. Only slight swelling at the joint. Nothing worth taking pics of. Especially after you shared your gorgeously GRUESOME hernia pics. They were great.  ;D

Using the arm carefully and gingerly. It really was just an itty, bitty break. :D

You having pain internally is probably just part of the healing process. Even laprascopically, they separate layers, disturb muscles etc. Whatever method keeps the kevlar in place, supporting the muscles, must heal.

Yep Lynn, I concur on your assessment....

I've found that even after my arm surgery, last date April 10th, if I reach a certain way, it feels like one of the muscles or tendons is not quite connected. BUT...it's been getting better.

So, stands to reason when there in there poking and moving things around, that's all going to take time to reknit to it's former at birth attached locations.

Glad to hear your arm is feeling better too! Have you started any strength training?

Best,
Gary

No strength training yet. Just finished a three day freshman orientation with my daughter.
Start a new job monday and then will check in with PT. But first, a follow up xray to see if all is healing as expected.

I feel like I need to continue with increasing range of motion before adding much strength stuff yet. But, I could be wrong.
