login issues?
« on: July 21, 2008, 09:32:09 am »
I contacted the hosts regarding a problem I have been having. I have to reset m password every time I log in. Is anyone else having this problem or others?

No, haven't seen that Ron.  My account has been working just like always.

Mine seems to work good. Although, I do get caught in "Your IP posting was less than 60 seconds ago" purgatory if I post too fast. In fact, I'm gonig to wait another minute before I click "post" on this one just to be safe.

I'm good too. Have it set to keep my password and username on all the time.

Must be you Ron. The kevlar is doing strange things to your computer. Hearing messages from outer space yet?

BTW, how are you feeling?

Interestiing theory on the Kevlar, I could think of a really funny thing to type but it most likely wouldn't viewed so well, HINT: think antenna....

OK, I heard from Gregmerz, he can't login either. I hope the web folks look at my e-mail and invetigate....

I am doing OK, I totally undersetimated the recovery on this. I thought it would be the proverbail walk in the park. What you forget is the core muscles affect everything from taking a pee to sitting up to , well everyhting. I knwo he used more mesh than is normally used and the unexpected tear repair but its been quite painful. It's much better now but even driving a couple miles is painful. It should really improve this week and I feel I have turned the corner so to speak. I can still move it substantially more than I could before the surgery so I am very positive about everything,  THanks

I don't know who to e-mail about this. Peter is no longer involved. Anyone know who to contact?

Greg:  What problem were you having getting on?  Is it still occurring, or are you OK now that yuo have gotten back in?

Ron:  Do you get a message or anything when you login, or it just requires that you reset your password before it lets you all the way in?  I'll see if I can look at your profile or anything.

It takes me an average of three tries to actually log in and that allows for at least one cookie or a handful of almonds.

Been like this for a week....what's up with this my fellow ski family?

Ron/Gary:? What browsers are you guys using?? I have IE7 here at work and either 6 or 7 at home and haven't seen any difference.? Are you Firefox users, and have you installed any upgrades at about the same time as the login process changed?

Ron, I agree that it sounds like something with cookies? (probably not with almonds although they are almost as good as pecans for cholesterol.? and Pecans are as good as medicine).

Attempted login on IE 6 probably 10 times at the office today, I got in once.? The www.expertskier.com site which you are redirected to when you choose the subscriber link hangs when you fill your username and password then click ok.

Tonight at home on IE 7 I got on right away.? I don't know if this is an IE 6 vs IE 7 issue or an internet volume issue as the volume at 8:30 pm CST is probably down significantly from during the work day.

The beverage in my hand right now can't have anything to do with it ...? >:D

That is probably the difference!!? ;D? I almost never go through the main page to get to the forum pages, especially since the account and password information doesn't automatically carry through from one to the other.? The link below is the direct URL for the Gear Forum.? That doesn't solve whatever the problem is with the main page, but add it to your favorites and use it as a workaround.

yup, think Jim's got it. THe redirect has to have something to do with it. I can go in direct with no issues so far.

Greg, the beverage only helps.....  ;D
