It happens about this time every year...
« on: September 28, 2008, 04:08:42 pm »
My boats are getting no attention lately, I'm beginning to think about mothballing the lakehome for the winter, I've had my new ski boots on twice in the last three days, quiver mania is running at fever pitch and ski school meetings start in three weeks.? I've also got a big target on the weather prognosticators, they're telling us that this could be a four alarm winter with plenty of cold and snow.? Warning, weather prognosticators...? Don't make promises you can't keep !

This afternoon I'm wondering what's new at the Boat.? Ski Times Square is gone but the Tugboat remains.? The Wild-something development I was reading about the other day makes it sound like a second gondola is on the drawing board.? Post ski-day conferences will continue to be held at the bar in the Sheraton.? The Boat is still a great combination of mountain and western town.? Frontier Airlines just announced new service into Hayden increasing competition which might reduce airfares a little.

It's about eighty days or so and I hope to have a good seven to ten days on snow by the time I get to the boat...? LET'S GO...

???? You neglected your new ski boots for a whole day?? Doesn't sound like ski fever to me? >:D

I hope your weather prognosticators are spot-on this year ;D

Greg, I love it! yes, its the time of year and we have to get our toys ready. I am watching ski **** at a feverous pace, just waiting for the temps to get cold enough to go on some trail runs and rides and feel the cold on hands and face, just waiting to see my breath hanging in air!

There is a great smell of wax in the air at the ski shop.
