No new skis
« on: October 05, 2008, 10:44:55 am »
Well, with Ron in San Fransisco eating and drinking his way thru restaurants with side trips to Napa valley, there hasn't been any time for him to update his ski quiver. >:D
All quiet on the eastern front since he is visiting the "western front". ;D

Gary is in Italy, eating and drinking his way thru a supposed "bike tour". Yeah.

So, when they return, time for.......WINE Reviews!! Instead of dims, turn radius, flex pattern, we need to know
year, bouquet and the full litany of descriptive tastes. ;D ;D

I think Ron needs to post pics of all his recent acquisitions. Stock photos from websites just don't cut it...we need the actual skis. Bonus points of takes a pic of them on the kitchen counter...next to a steaming cup of D&D coffee.  ;D

Ahh, wine, yes, wine.. It was actually Sonoma but, hey it's all good. This trip was in northern Sonoma, the focus in that regoin is great Syrah (AKA Shiraz) and Zinfindels. (yes Red, But I am guessing Glen drinks the "pink" variety??? :) ) One winery of note was Bella Vineyards. Outstanding small production, fantastic Petit Syrah and Zin's. They don't distribute; only sell at their location.

Ski's: Sorry to dissapoint gang but right now, I only have the Blizzard Argos'! That's it..... The Shaman's are in SB but That's all I own. I posted pics on my Shaman review somewhere here.

Glen, it looks like the screw on the rear of that binding is not all the way in? Are they mounted????  Some nice looking gear, well-done.

BTW- I can put the skis on the kitchen island but it will have to be a cappi or a espresso...

I have been speaking with Gary, he's having a great time.

sweet! I hope so. You will have to get those babies mounted up and ready then!  I am shooting for an end of November date some time.  If the season kicks of early, maybe I can drive up and meet you someplace to break-in our skis together. I think Phil would be up for an early road trip and it's probably the same drive time for Gary

That works for me! My wife and I plan on being out pretty much every Sunday at Mt. Snow...so if you'll be there, let me know! I'm also up for taking a random weekday off as well. I still kinda get to test out the HotRods as well. I only skied those twice last year at the end of the season. I haven't had a chance to test them in non spring conditions.
