How do you like the Impacts? In the shop they have been fitting great in the shop. What was you deciding factor in getting these?

Deciding factor was brand. My purple boots where Salomons and despite the color; and age..the fit was awesome. I have a narrower foot and always found Salomons had a nice fit for me. I tried on a pair of Nordica's in the shop...great boot was way too soft..softer than my purples.

I have the 8's...which will be a bit softer than say the 9's or 10's. I figure since I'll be doing some time in the park, a little flex will be a good thing. Having multiple skis is one thing, but throw another pair of boots in the mix and things get really complicated.

Price was a factor as well since these were leftovers. And yes, the fact that they weren't purple did have a small influence.  :D

I haven't tried the boots out yet and I really can't wait for opening day. I think I bought those purple ones in 1993!  :-X

I've skied these for 3 days now...a very solid boot! My only issue is a little tightness around my left outter ankle. I'm not sure if it's the liner or the hing on the shell. I'll have that fixed this week.

I can leave the boot somewhat loose and it still skis great. When cranked down, I can really lay into the turns. I was worried this boot may be a bit soft, but that's not the case at all. Over all, I'm very happy with them.  8)
