New boots!
« on: December 22, 2008, 07:35:59 am »
I was really packing out my S11's this past week and follwing a fit analyst from Phil and Gary, I decided to make the leap to a better fitting more soft snow performing boot. I tried on Phils Kryptons and loved the flex, super snug (but not uncomftable) and the pregressive flex. Phil recoemmended the Il' Moro. I went to our local shop up here "One Stop Ski" on 11th and tried them on. The boot comes with the intuition Silver ID liner which is just a phenomenal liner. It expands and compacts to the foot creating a true custom snug, all encompassing fit. The boot itself has the unique one buckle over the instep with a cable-like buckle over where the ankle and tib/fib meet which sucks your heel into the back of the boot better than any boot I have ever seen. The top has a snowboot ratchet closure which snugs the cuff better and more even that anything else. THe boot flexs smoothly and keeps the cuff intact and consistent throughout the entire flex and retrun upright. Simply incredible boot foot contact. I will be testing today. Cheers!

Is there somewhere you could donate your old boots? Local ski teams often have kids who can't afford all the latest/best.

Let's see, he's got close to a week left out there.  Demo Icelantic's, new boots, one week left.  I predict a high probability of one more purchase yet...

This is the boot that Mr SnowHot has.  He was not an easy guy to please but has fallen in love with the Il Moro!
Ron, you're gonna love those, almost as much as I love my Kryptons.
I have the Kryzma set up for Hard charging days(stiffer)and the Storm, set up with the soft zeppa and softer flex for bumps and crazy days.

Ron's skiing 20" of Steamboat Powder today.....and he really is enjoying the new boots.

He actally skied them yesterday as well and said the lateral energy transfer edge to edge was excellent. Said he's got some minor tweaking to do but overall...the boots rip!

Proven again....ya gotta have a boot that fits you in all the right places...KEY! When being fitted, tell the fitter what terrain you like to ski, how aggressive a skier you are, and how many days you ski a year.

Get the right fit....be one happy camper!
