That's easy. Loveland will open first as they do every year. The good news is that maybe this year others will be able to open around the same time!!

hopefully, early snows are a good indication of things to come.  I saw on the news last night some big snows in Montana with more to come.  Steamboat has received a lot of snow for this time as well. I am really looking forward to getting back on the snow. Phil told me my new Nimbus movie is iin (I forget the name but Eric Pollard is the featured skier in these,  I think Nimbus is directed by him, Pep Fugas and some other innvative skiers) I aslo ordered a 3 ski sportube from Phil and I am all set and ready to float (instead of roll )

It's an El Nino year. Typically this is good news for Tahoe, the Pac NW and the Southern Rockies (essentillay mid Montana and South). I am not sure waht it means for the East Coast as I don't ski there (maybe harder and bluier ice :D). We are slated to get our first rain the in bay area next Monday. Tahoe will not be cold enough to get snow. It seems like the el niino theme of heavier precip is holding true, and staistically this should mean very good years for the places we like to ski. From my mouth to God's ears!!
