One of the things that stopped us from carrying Dynastar (and Rossi) were the weight of their system skis.

I'm thinking that if I can create enough prejudice against these really heavy skis, I get to become first in line when Ron sells what will surely be a mint pair of Dynastars.

you never know Mike, you never know.......

Hopefully, I am skiing more in between ski trips this season so my bet is they will get about 10 days.

LP:  I hate the prospect of bursting your "ohh so hopeful" bubble but are you and Ron of similar enough body proportions that you ski the same length ski???

Unless Ron bulks up pretty soon, he may not be heavy enough to bend those sleds. ::)

Just guessing at Ron's actual length, but, 170 would be no problem. I skied 165 Supershapes two years ago with no problem on hard snow (terrible in spring snow).

Hmm, I think there's a guy in front of me in 4x4 lust line.

This forum talks a lot about Heads and Dynastars. Could somebody please take a look at my post: 2010 Elan Magfire 82XT vs 2009 Magfire 82XTi. I posted it under Snow-the Downside. Did not know how or was not allowed to start a new thread.

Hey Nevils..sorry that no one responded to your post on the Magfires....problem s is for myself, I really only demoed a pair 4 years ago. I have no other on ski experience with that model. I'm assuming that those that post regularly here are in the same boat. It would appear the 82 XTi got rave reviews by RS....are you in the market for a pair? The other thing to note, if the 2010 model was the same as the 2009 model, it would have NOT been tested by Peter....I'm thinking the 2010 is the better of the 2 skis by deduction.

Wish we had more for ya.

Best,
Gary

Not dis'in you or your skis. Just having some fun with Jim's thought that at 190 I may be too heavy. I know your losing weight and your bodyfat is really low, so can you be too light. Too heavy, too light, what's the difference. I think that ski has a wide performance band.

I'm hoping I can see you live on them some day in the big, big Poc's. Maybe even Blue. OMG - LOL!

If I remember correctly, you were on Dynastar's when we first met in JH two years ago. What model.

I skied them last year during the testing, they are fine for a person who has the center of gravity of a fire hydrant.
