I'm Heeeere .......Aspen Snowmass that is!

I arrived last night and will be here for a week.
I'm play skiing today but then will be in clinic for a few days then will free up to ski with friends toward the end of the week.

The weather outlook looks okay but not fabulous, but we all know that could change any minute.

Looking good! Skiing in the sun is a great thing.

What skis did you bring. You and Ron need to get a pic of the two of you surrounded by the traveling team of skis.

2 pairs Mike and I really could just bring the Kastles. You just love to poke me!   Now everyone knows that PSIA skiers need multiple skis, otherwise we can't function, we have to have custom designed skis that will allow the maximum skidding effect, we have to grind down the edges...

Ha Mike!  I brought the Hart Beat and the Kastle FX84.
Thus far I've only used the Beats but will likely switch to the Kastles when we get new snow in a day or two.

I sure hope you get the conditions to rock and roll on the Kastle 84's. I'd be very interested in your comparison on the Hart vs the Kastle 84. I think your Hart's are the same as Pulses with different graphics and shorter length. I'd love to ski the Pulse in a 170 as an eastern front side carver.

We really need someone with Photoshop skills to make a montage of "Philpug's Team Kastle". You, Phil, Lola, Ron, and....me.

This afternoon I'm joining up and picking the 88's up from Phil.

Will I have sudden compulsions to make sort turns all over the mountain?  Will I feel the need to carve EVERY turn?  Will I suddenly feel that fat skis suck?  Will I beleive there's only one way to do everything???\

Ok, we can all learn somethig from everyone and put that into our toobox....  Looking forward to busting balls in person next week on our common bond- our skis......

Now that I've had nourishment and am settled in for the night, I thought I'd fill you in on conditions.
It looks like we may get a few inches of snow on Wed/Thur which will be nice, on top of the decent conditions that I've experienced the past few days.

Today we spent the day at Aspen Mountain, which was fairly incredible considering that they haven't had any new snow  for a while.  The only areas that seemed bony were in a few of the bump runs, but even that was manageable if you know how to cherry pick your way through.

All in all, a great time thus far, which should only get better when I meet up with you all in the next few days.

Tomorrow we hike Highlands Bowl!
