Let's Ski Elk
« on: February 15, 2010, 12:46:03 pm »
OK Team,

There's been some discussion about doing a day(s) at Elk this season. Let's make it happen. I'd be up for 2 days, maybe a Sun and Mon. My schedule is fairly open. Put some days out there when you'd be available. Ron, Lynn, Jim, Phil and whoever else.

Lynn is away from the Internet, so I will answer for both of us (at least until she gets back later in the week).

Lynn leaves next weekend for a one week "medical conference" at Big Sky (without me? :'( :'( ) so that eliminates the weekends of Feb. 20th and Feb. 27th for her.

Then, the following weekend, she and I leave for a week in Utah, so that eliminates the weekends of March 6th and March 13th for both of us.

Which is, of course, unfortunate since I'm not sure Elk will even be open into the middle of March and I would enjoy skiing with everyone there.

It's not looking promising for me!
As Jim outlined above, most of the next 4 weekends are booked. Fortunately, with skiing out west.

Now the third weekend in march, I only have to work on the previous friday.....for 24 hrs until saturday morning.
I don't ski well after being up all night.  :-[
I am pretty sure that weekend is the last one Elk would be open. And if conditions are not good, they have closed even earlier.

Oh well, lets try and do some planning EARLIER next year!!

Midwif's comments hit me like hammer. >:(

Pa skiing has a little more than a month to go. Although there's still 12 inches of snow on my lawn, the sun gets stronger each day.

A wake up, clarion call, we've got to ski now! Glorious spring skiing awaits ;D

Jim and Lynn, if Elk stays open and you plan on getting there, let us know. And, yes, better planning next year.
