JJ update (rockers in general)
« on: February 16, 2010, 12:43:49 pm »
Having spent more time on my JJ's I'd like to add that tree skiing in soft snow on this quick and nimble ski is a blast....HOWEVER they fall short in one area for me.....the rocker shovels do not allow me to wedge turn in a tight, hit the air brakes, emergency turn in any steep areas or in an area where you riding someone elses track like being in a luge track and it's deep and narrow and can't get the boards sidewise...yup...no wedge here....ya just ride it out using the big boards to push aside any bramble they may encounter.

The other thing with the JJ's is they DO NOT like hard packed and firm surfaces....they will perform but the rider absorbs all the vibration the ski can amplify...eek...wic ked. SO ya get 2 inches or more, the are a blast.
