What's your Signature?
« on: April 30, 2010, 08:54:43 am »
Funny question huh.....I was talking to friends about how I feel on the mountain....what my turn signature is.....what is it I feel I'm doing when making turns and exploring the mountain?

My answer for me is that I feel like an artist with an easel....the snow is my canvas and I take the liberty to create through turn shape and terrain many memorable moments. My playful strokes with my skis on the groomer, the crud, the off camber and pow are all expressions of this feeling of creating an artistic moment in my mind.

Ok...I know it sounds weird, maybe stupid to some...but it's what I feel and no, I haven't been drinking...well except two cups of green tea!

How are ones emotions expressed with their skis.....what's your story?

Gesh...now nobody will ski with me? :-[

G

An interesting question.? For me the "feeling" is one of flying.? My favorite slopes are Greens or easy Blues where I can float and fly down the slope turning when or where I want to, and my MOST favorite are slopes like that with big rollers along the way so I get the feeling of swooping down and the G forces of the trough at the bottom (and sometimes the weightless feelings at the top).

Maybe that's the reason I struggle in bumps, no one likes flying in bumpy weather.? ????

And I will still ski with you, Mr. Picasso!? ?;D

Ok Jim...I like it....maybe some more straight lineing those bump fields.....you could be like a high speed cigar boat on open waters....yeah....l et it rip.

But I know what you mean about flying....I also get that sensation ....oh yeah....golf doesn't come close!

Ok Ron....I'm taking your advise....3 rd cup on it's way and Svend...

ALice has some pictures for you to look at...I'm sure we can get to the bottom of your problems.

But ya see, not matter what image  anyone see's.....it's what you get out of it that counts.

Now, find me 18" of fresh so I can start my next Picasso!  g

Yes Svend...but hey since we're neighbors....what are friends for!

I think instead of those boring ink blots, it may be more productive to use snow flake blotters....

yeah..no two are the same....yes....I think all your problems will be history.

Please have on hand...fine wines, cheeses, beef, pasta's, pastries and of course...latte for the Dr.

Best,
g

Always on hand, my friend, and door is always open.  But no espresso for you, pal.  Spontaneous combustion happens, I know it does....

Greg....you dog......that photo just keeps poppn' up.....it's a myth....but I do remember that day, and it WAS  a signature day!

Svvend...Ron tells me there's less caffine in espresso so..probably should be my drink of choice when all electronic communication devices are unaccessible, and there is no one within ear shot of me.

Still....someone's GOT to say SOMETHING!  gesh!  >:D

Oh Gary, is this FOX news?  NO it doesn't have less Caffiene overall, its that 2 shots of exspresso contain the same caffiene (in general) as a cup of coffee!  Nice try! :)  So your average cappucino has about the same as a cup of coffee.... NO expresso for you!  Unless the words "DECAF" are part of the equation...
