Having been in a 3 buckle cabrio for 30 odd years...I finally wend to a 3 buckle overlap. It was more to do with wanting a more upright stance than the design of the boot. If the Krypton was more upright, I would have stayed. It came down to three boots....
Dalbello Scorpion 130
Lange RS130
Tecnica Inferno 130
All three boots are damn close in positioning and almost interchangible with each other. While I have worked with Dalbello over the past 5 or so years, Start Haus does not carry the line and since it was no better (or worse) than the other two, it didn't make the top two. So down to the Lange and Tecnica. The only difference for between these two was the Inferno was slightly better over the instep than the Lange. So I went that way. These boots are fitting a tad big, while I measure a solid 26.5 on the Mondo with no change weighted or unweighted, I fit easily into the 25.5, something I couldn't do in the Krypton w/o tons of work. Alignment is great right out of the box, where I had to plane the Kryptons (and would have had to do the Scorpions too). I did put on replaceable soles, a great option that few boots of this caliber offer.
