Lynn,

A generous offer as always.  Your willingness to help your fellow "man" does you credit.

I'll decline on the dual grounds that 1) I shouldn't accept your charity when there are others who are needier than I am, and 2) I've switched my summer recreational attire to cycling shorts.

One vote for Jim being the test case and show us those......cycling legs.

Changed my mind! Gary needs to get the pro cyclist look. Then, he and Alice will have matching legs on their upcoming biking vacation in Italy. The perfect couple become more perfect.

I can hear the wolf-whistles as he pedals down the road. :o

But, Gary, don't where shorts at the Trevi Fountain.

That's it Mikey...you've dropped the gauntlet...

I'm wearing my biking pants first day on the snow this season...pictures to follow...

Of course I could never compete with the likes of my wifes silloutte but I'm shooting for that dark and mysterious kinda skier....

Yes...that does describe my mind...so I'm half way there! ;D

On the slopes, early winter '11:

Ski patrol base to patroller on mountain:

"We have a report of a skier wearing only spandex bicycle shorts  :o - - find him and revoke his ticket - - he is out of control !!!"

Lynn, get that man some Haldol  :-\

G,
Time to come out of the closet......I'm cross-dresser! :o

But it's limited to wearing male-oriented biking gear when I ski and vice-versa. Biking knickers (ie just below the knee pants) are great under ski pants on cold days. Many of my base layer  tops are bikewear from Pearl Izumi. The extra length is a big plus for staying warm.

Great value getting two season out of the same gear.

And you are very correct that you will never compete with Alice when it comes to looking very, very cool.  :-*  And you are not alone in that category. Say Hi to her for me.

Something tells me I'll live to regret the first line above! ::)

Mikey...kudo's for coming clean..sort of....however I find the dubious title of cross dresser for me a little bit off the mark however hearing you refer to just below the knee pants as knickers...I believe you have a firm grip on the title.

However, I will accept that I am a cross skier..yes...one who moves back and forth through a variety of  ski techniqes (2) and will march proudly and with great enthusiaism in any "cross skier parade"!  ;D

I will indeed pass along your kind words to Alice as she continues to amaze me in her ability to accumlate ski outfits and looking so darn good in them. AND how much more new terrain she has skied with me this past year increasingly confident in her abilities.

Hope we can ski together this coming season Mike...always a pleasure!  G
