What's your Quiver for 08'
« on: September 07, 2007, 10:39:28 am »
Here's mine. I can't wait to see what Micheal decides on!  He is my quiver hero. We feed off of each other. Too many skis, too little time but we're working on it!

WEST:
78's
Mojo90's

EAST:
SuperShapes
C-11's
PE's or possibly Elan 888's

No Magfire 12's

What does everyone have in their lineup?

I'm only sure about keeping the 165cm Fischer Worldcup SC (118-66-100mm) and the 194cm Dynastar Legend Pro (132-109-122mm).

Do you guys think I need something more moderate  :D ?

well, on the surface, a ski in the low to upper 80's. I think the SC is basically a stiffer RX8 right? If so, they should prove to be pretty versitile. The XXL's are pure big mountain, bad-ass at 132-109, with a steel girder on the topsheet. That leaves a HUGE gap in performance but how about a nice head 78, elan 888, Dynastar Mthic rider or something else in the low to mid 80's? ( I realize the Mythic and Elan are 88)

Well, the Fischer WC SC is a cheater SL ski with sandwich construction. It's like the Supershape if not as versatile.

I'm consider several skis, including the RX9 and others.  I'd like a 69 to 73mm wide carver.

Half the fun is in the hunt.

I was being obtuse.  The iC160's are my sentimental favorite, they got me past terminal intermediate to the point that the tips flapped a little too much because I had gotten a little bit faster.

What I ski is the Head I.SL Chip @165
What I might be able to ski is the iM78's @178  (Only Steamboat will tell for sure).

NEWS Flash:  Add fisher Watea 94, drop head Mojo90 (this should shortly be an addition to Gary's Quiver....) I decided since I can get a killer deal to go ahead and go a bit longer and a bit wider. The Mojo90's are a fantastic ski but I have to admit, as a Twin tip (tt) they are only 176's so take off about 8-10mm in real surface length, they just skied short. The watea's are flats, with a slight TT, (Like the 82 or 88) so at 178, they will ski more like a 173-5. This is perfect. The added width will be more fun to ski with. the Mojo90's at 124-89-118 was fine but the Watea's are 130-94-118 so that's just a bit more float and stability.

Bumping, because we have to keep Ron's newest additions at the top of the pack.

Gary is my enabler here, along with Michael! :o

Actually, this plays right into Gary's hand, the 176 is actually the perfect length for him and then he gets a like new ski for 70% off! I see his motives now, next will be my new Arc' teryx jacket, he'll be telling me it's too small.......

Such an evil web we weave....

Move over chubby and buy yourself a new jacket...I'll take the red Arc or your back...on mean hands.

Ok....not so chubby cause when we were discussing lenghts he disclosed his weight and he's back to "ripn" weight.

So now I HAVE to consider keeping my brand new 82's which I patiently await or consider the MOJO 90. For me though, it's a must ski first cause they 82's are very go fast skis, solid in the bumps and just a hankering for some deep snow.

But, if anyone here wants a great deal on those Mojo's, I for sure will get a chance to try the Wateas and maybe just maybe, Ron should be on a pair of Line skis or maybe the Volkl Mantra.

Such wickedness flows here.
