Yup...oh yeah...she's still a baby with only 220 miles on her..

City driving they say should be around 32 mpg. It's weird when you sit in traffic, the tach dives down into the green zone which tells you you are total electric. Imagine, no engine noise or vibration, just sitting there, all quiet, very cool

Ron, just like you in what sense.  You get 32 mpg in the city, or (VERY quiet, very cool, just sitting there).   ;D
Very quiet doesn't really seem like you?

AAAAhhhhh, I get it.  32 minutes per gallon of Starbucks.

sachasm, rules,,,, I tend to be a bit loquacious when I get all pumped up for skiing, Another reason why Gary and I are brothers from another motha'  ::) We are perfectly sypatico when on the slopes. I don't know if I'm more sore from skiing or from laughing so hard some days.

Jim...you'll have to be sure to scout out all the Starbucks at the boat...heck..Ron (AKA "Mr. Triple Espresso") probably knows where they all are.

Gang, Ron's right...expect tons of laughs, silliness, and booyaaaaaa....."dancn' on the mountain"!

There are two starbucks in the village, one at the Sheraton ( ashort walk from your place) and the other is over by the wal-mart. All coffee sold on the mountain is Starbucks. Interestingly, I read an interesting article about hydration (GARY, pay attention) and caffeine. caffiene is a dieretic and actually causes the body to expel (read: pee-away) water so I plan to cut back a bit this season, at least in the AM, this may also help me keep my skis cleaner,.....

caffeine is a diuretic, but that just helps flush your body as long as you are drinking water along with it.  I'm a Pepsi-aholic and have never had any signs of dehydration or mountain effects.  where's Dr. Lynn when we really need her?

Caffiene will make you loose water much quicker than just altitude and dry air. This is not a good thing.

Yes Ron....I know that on both counts...diuretic and yellow skis....not a good combination.

AND seeing you come out of the mid mountain chalet after a triple espresso was wild...seeing you flagging 30 minutes later was not pretty. Yes, the Ron man has learned and grown from his experience.

Good stuff to pass along. It's really interesting cause tons of young kids are slamming back Red Bull and other such drinks...I wonder...maybe going to bed a bit earlier might be the answer.

Well I am an old man when it comes to that. I head to bed by 9:30-10 at the latest. But then again the key may be MORE SLEEP! I am up at 5-5:30!

SInce we all play hard on the mountain being a bar fly has never been something this group has aspired to, well at least so far.

AND....having great food available  24/7 makes having great energy a big plus.

Me...I like my morning tea, pancakes or eggs, whole wheat or rye toast, water, apple, energy bar on the mountain, bananas and pizza at lunch or soup and hot chocolate are my get me going for a ski day.

Man...alll this imaging is making my mind think about some very fine runs at the boat....

Sweet!

Sorry Jim
No support here for the coffee vs Pepsi challenge. Soda is so sugary, that your body has to pull fluid from elsewhere in order to dilute it down to the physiological number of about 5% dextrose. Most soda and especially Pepsi is at least 10%, if not more. Ever notice that your even more thirsty about a half hour after drinking it?
As far as me, I'll be the skier with interesting looking IV solution strapped to her back, down thru the systems designed for Ipods into my arm catheter giving continuous, consistent .5 normal Saline with 5% dextrose solution. ;)
