East Coast PMTS clinic
« on: March 20, 2009, 11:25:13 am »
There is talk afoot on the PMTS forum of putting an East coast PMTS clinic together.

Very earlly in gestation. There is a PMTS instructor in N.H. or perhaps &/or bringing in instructors from the west.

Any interest????

This would be for next season, of course.
Just planting a seedling.

You already know this, but I would be interested in a day or two clinic at the start of the season.? Help me get started, but less expensive (I hope) than a full week class.

I see you are already getting your gardening hat on, planting and fertilizing?

Gary:
The good news is that the clinic will be in your part of New York. ;D The bad news is that Lynn is planning on you being the teacher.   :(

I would be interested but not sure if I could swing it.  I would definitely look at it intently.

I would be very pleased if Lynn were to instruct a PMTS clinic....Jim, I'm sure that little lady has taught you a thing or 2 or three.

NY state PMTS clinic....I like it!

NY State PMTS Clinic???? Hmmmm.? Sounds like a Politically Correct name for a correctional facility of some sort (which I guess it is in a sense).

Let's see, I think I can come up with a few things that Lynn has taught me.? ?;D >:D

1. 5th gear in a Subaru on the Interstate is an optional gear, at least at anything less than 90 mph. 4th is much more responsive.
1.1 Subaru's don't get good gas mileage when operated for extended distances at greater than 90 miles per hour (in 4th gear).
2. The more you buy on Steep and Cheap (and Sierra Trading Post, and ...) the more you save.? ????
3. There are NO friends when the trees beckon (right, Todd??).? ;)
4. There is nothing quite so satisfying as "Swedish Fish" waiting in the car after a hard days skiing.
5. The woman is always right.? ?:-*

And now, as Ron used to say at appropriate times, it is time to duck and cover!!?
However, I know that since she works clinic on Mondays and Internet access is restricted, I am safe until later this evening.?

PS- Lest anyone misunderstand, Lynn is actually an excellent driver.  I can easily sleep in the car while she is driving.

"Swedish Fish"???? Is that the dried salt kind, or pickled? You could club an attacking grizzly to death with the former; and empty an overcrowded apres bar with the latter (very useful weapons, both).   >:D ;D

I worry about you being in the "kill zone" when PMTS and Blue are mentioned in the same sentence.
 >:D ;D >:D

I will try to keep this an on-going conversation for next season.

Oh, come on' now if Phil throws his hard earned money down, does this mean he still has to like it?  :-\

I'll go if only to eat popcorn and be the videographer of the momentous occasion.  ::)

All this whining about 4th gear driving, taking advantage of good deals, and day old candies.......no wonder Lyn left you guys behind in the trees  >:D ;) >:D ;)

I concur with Lyn, stick the basics and adhere to #5!! ;D
