Ok Brad...please keep your "debasing" to yourself with or without a basement...you know...messy. Still, new gear does hold up better when protected from the harsh winter elements we love to play in. AND when I go to trade or sell the skis...they do hold their handsome image so much better.

I've always presumed the topskins were layers of a fiber product of some kind..fiberglass, Kevlar, or magical leprechaun dust. 

Jim, The Spa polish or I'm sure a marine boat wax would do just fine. So if you're out polishing the boat or spiffying up the hot tub, save a few "waxy ons and waxy offs" for your 2 Magnum friends. Oh yeah...tell the wife you're protecting your investment and their complimenting colors!
