Another great detergent for gore-tex and DWR's is Graingers. http://www.grangersusa.com/ if you use the nikwax, make sure it's approved for the fabric on your clothes. some of it is a wax-based product and can block the pores in the fabric.

polishing topsheets: this is a bad subject, I don't touch mine, IMHo they are just fine without. if you want to recieve a lot of abuse, go over to Epic or TGR (better yet) and ask them for recomendations.... The only comment I have is that if you ski with gary, protection from his **** may be advised.....
