Greg
Since you aren't arriving until sunday, we should definitely hold the secret santa until then.
On the other hand, we do have to eat prior to that!!!
So, we can still meet for dinner.

Ron
Are restaurants mostly open on sunday nights as well?
Any suggestions for saturday evening?

Please think in the moderate range. I have a kid in college.$$$$$

Certainly have to wait till the gang's all in.....

Ron... can you make reservations for 7?

Hey Lynn....I'll split meals with ya!!! Alice and I do that most of the time.

We should talk about our plans for dinner out and dinner in.

Might I start the suggestions with the following:

Sat : Dec 13 dinner out
Sun; Dec 14th Secret Santa party dinner out
Mon:  Dec 15th Dinner in
Tues Dec 16gh Dinner in
Wed Dec 17th Dinner out
Thurs Dec 18th Dinner in
Fri Dec 19th Dinner out

Let me know your thoughts,

G

all restaurants are open everynight in a ski town!? There are many very good and very reasonable places to eat. One of my favorite places is still the mexican/tex-mex place just a few minutes away, Fiesta Jalisco is Very authentic and very reasonable. Gary can take some beano and get something on the plain side. It's not like a typical fast-food mexican place.  The Carne Asada is a masterpiece!  There is also a great place for BBQ as well.

Gary:? Too many dinners out on your list for me.? As far as sharing a meal with Lynn?? FUHGETTABOUTIT.? Don't you remember she eats like a healthy horse (and now, to quote Sir Ron, time to duck and cover).? ?>:D? >:D

However, I have an alternate idea.? Dinner out on Saturday as last year so you don't have to cook first night in town, but do the Santa? swap some other night after Greg gets into town.

I think Lynn is still planning on inviting everyone to Storm Meadows Club Condos again (same general location we shared last year); and all she expects in return is a reciprocal invitation to Casa de Ron/Gary for some of the famous "team prepared" cuisine.? We could do the Santa exchange at either one of those, and would probably be even more fun.? I really didn't understand what was going on with "some of the gifts" last year because I couldn't see from my remote corner of the table.

I sort of agree with you about the Mexican food; doesn't feel like it sits well with the ski experience.

Ron:

Any Kansas Farm Boy style diners in Steamboat that you would recommend.  Not greasy spoons, but true diners?

Hola Guys

First inclination is to say yes to eating out first night together.
Second night, lets eat in and meet with GregM and share Secret Santa (I am willing to do this, though don't cook as well as Ron)
Monday, let's see how we all feel. Maybe an apres-ski beer and tapas, then off for separate din-dins and an early sleep.
Tuesday, let's party!!!
Wednesday, dinner at Ron's????
I am leaving thursday. You can have the keg party then. I have work friday and saturday.

Looking forward to seeing all again. Eating and skiing and laughing with you all. Oh, and a couple of glasses of red wine shared.
(yes Ratliff, we'll have pepsi for you, you tee totaler)
